Gomosto () is a small village and a community which includes Vlacheika. It is in the ENE part of Movri. Distance from Patras is 28 km SW and 67 km (old 72 km) NE of Pyrgos and the highway runs through the village. Its nearby communities and villages are Vlacheika and Kareika to the south, Rachi and Apostoli to the west, Limnochori to the north, Niforeika and Kato Achaia to the northeast and Kapeli to the east. It also has a road to Riolos founded in the southwestern part. It is mainly a rural village, bur forests covers the northern parts, mixed with eastern parts and farmland to the south. It is bounded by Dymi 1.5 km E. The area is mixed farming.
The village has three gas stations and the village centre is also located there, but has no school. Most of the small population live within the state (national) highway. There is one factory that mainly produces oil.

Sageika, rarely Sagaiika (, formerly: Σάγαιικα) is a village in western Achaea in the northcentral part of the municipality of Movri. Its population is about 200. The nearby communities and villages are Bonteika to the west, Rachi and Apostoli to the east, and Krinos to the south. It lies presently partially north of the main highway, used to run through until the 1980s. Distance is 31 km SW of Patras and 65 km (old distance: 69 km) N of Pyrgos.
Sageika is also the seat of the municipality of Movri, named for is mountain range south of the village. The municipality was created under the Capodistrian Constitution in 1998. The municipal population is 5,106, the area is 86.48 km² and the density is 59.4/km².
Kareika (), older form: Karaiika, is a village located about 1.5 km S of Gomosto and about 2 km SE of Rachi in the municipality of Movri and is located north of the Movri mountains. The village is part of the community of Metochi and is also a part of Vouprasio. Kareika is connected with the road linking to Riolos and Spata and is connected with GR-9/E55 (Patras - Pyrgos) 1 km to the north. Riolos is between the plain to the northwest and the Movri mountain to the southeast. Neo Vouprasio is located 40 km SW of Patras, about 60 km S of the Rio-Antirio Bridge, about 3 km SW of Lappa, about 55 km (old: 60 km) NE of Pyrgos and about 30 km (old: 3540 km) from Kyllini.
Niforeika (Greek: Νιφορέικα, previously Νιφοράιικα) is a village that is located between Kalamaki and Kato Achaia in the municipality of Dymi in northwestern Achaia. Distance from Patras is about 29 km, 11 km E of Araxos and 13 km E of the airport, and N of Gomosto. Its nearby communities are Kalamaki to the west, Gomosto to the east, and Kato Achaia along with the village of Alykes to the east. Distance from the highway is about 4 km NW. The commune includes Paralia Niforeika which is Niforeika Beach.

The village has a school and a church. Residential houses are mainly ligned with the Araxos-Kato Achaia Road. Hotels including Niforeika Beach are very common in the northern part which is called Niforeika Beach along with sandy beaches. There are about 10 hotels northeast of the core.
Larissos is a municipality in the western part of Achaea in Greece. Its seat of administration is in the village Lappa (Greek, Modern: Λάππα, Ancient/Katharevousa: -s), rarely Lapa The distance from Patras is 37 km SW and 58 km N of Pyrgos. The nearest communities are Metochi and Kalogria to the north, Araxos also to the north, Bonteika to the east and Riolos to the south. The area code is 26930. It is the seat of the municipality of Larissos (the postal code reads Metochi). The municipal boundary of Larissos and Movri is about 500 m east of town hall. It is part of the community of Metochi. The community has about 200 to 250 dwellings. The town has a square, a school, and next to is a small town hall of Larissos, and a train station. Forests are founded along with a few roads in the south, one in the north and one in the west which was the property of King Constantine II of Greece. Nearby is a small tiny hydro station southwest of Lappa. The northwestern and northeastern regions are covered with mixed farming with access to Araxos Airport (GPA). There is an archaeological site of the ancient town of Dyme founded 1 km south. The municipality formerly excluded Mataranga and Spata. In the late-20th century, these areas were reverted to Larissos from Vouprasia and the prefecture of Ilia.
Lakkopetra (Greek: Λακκόπετρα), rarely Lakopetra is a village of northwestern Achaia, located 10 km NW of Kato Achaia, 4 km ENE of Araxos, approx. 35 km NW of Patras and 72 km N (old 77 km) from Pyrgos. Mavri Myti, its nearby beach is about 3 km N. Its neighboring communities are Araxos to the west, Limnochori to the southeast and Kalamaki to the east. It lies in the northeastern part of the municipality of Larissos bordering Movri in the east.
Kato Vlassia or Kato Vlasia (Greek: Κάτω Βλασία meaning Lower Vlassia), is a Greek village and a municipal district located about 45 to 50 km SE of Patras, south of Aigio, southwest of Pteri and west of Kalavryta. It is linked with a road linking with the GR-33 along with Chalandritsa and Kalavryta, it also serves a road with Kato Vlassia. Kato Vlasia is also in the municipality of Kalavryta. The Erymanthos mountain lies to the southwest. The majority of the population remains to be rural in which it contains only a few shops as well as a gas station. Kato Vlassia is above Ano Vlassia.
Ano Vlassia or Ano Vlasia (), is a Greek village and a municipal district located about 50 km SE of Patras, south of Aigio, southwest of Pteri and west of Kalavryta. It is linked with a road linking with the Patras-Kalavryta Road 4 km north. Ano Vlasia is also in the municipality of Kalavryta. The Erymanthos mountain lies to the southwest. The majority of the population remains to be rural and agriculture dominates the town industry. Ano Vlassia is below Kato Vlassia.

Psathopyrgos or Psathopirgos (Greek: Ψαθόπυργος fr. ψάθος psathos prob. meaning fishing net + πύργος pyrgos meaning tower) is a touristic village located in the municipality of Rio in the northern part of the prefecture of Achaia and is the northernmost community in the Peloponnese. Psathopyrgos is located southeast of Cape Drepano, a trapezoidal cape facing the northwest and is the northernmost point in the Peloponnese and the prefecture of Achaia. The village is connected slightly north with two roads linking the old GR-8 linking Patras and Corinth and southwest to Arachovitika. The nearest interchange for the GR-8A superhighway is nearly 9 km WSW via the roundabout. The Gulf of Corinth lies directly to the east via the 800 m seaside main street and indirectly to the north and the Strait of Rio-Antirio west of the cape. It is located about 9 km NE of Rio, about 15 km NE of Patras, about 9 km ENE of the Rio-Antirio Bridge, and 214 km W of Athens via the new road and about 210 km W from the old highway.
Vrachnaiika or Vrachneika () is a community and a municipality that is 12 km south of and a suburb of Patras, Greece, between the city and Kato Achaia. The population is around 2,000 and 3,000 and the municipality between 4,500 and 5,000. Most of the houses were done between the 1960s and the 1980s. The nearby communities are Monodendron and Roitika in the north and Tsoukaleika in the south. The community has a beach about 600 m west, a town hall slightly between the train tracks and the old GR-9, a rail station, a school and a church. Rural lands cover the north and east and the size is small with mostly olive groves and pastures. The municipality has a public stadium located slightly northeast. The bypass of GR-9/E55 is founded east of the centre along with hills that elevates around 10 to 40 m above sea level with a few valleys. The hills also cover the south. There are about 1,000 buildings in the community. It is the second smallest municipality in area.
Monodendri (Greek: Μόνοδενδρι, before the abandonment of Katharevousa, -ion, older form Monodendrion) is a suburb located 10 km south of Patras, Greece.
It is part of the municipality of Vrachneika. The neighboring communities are Roitika to the north, Vrachneika in the east bounded by an OSE/SPAP railway, and Vrachnaiika to the south. Its length from north to south is nearly 2 km, and its furthest width is no more than 300 m and the size is small. Its main street runs by the seashore, and then down to the hills. The shore is filled with beaches with panoramas of western Achaia and Aetoloacarnania from the Gulf of Patras. The community has a train station. Its population is around 1,500. Much of the housing was built between the 1970s and the 1990s, because it used to be a village. The remaining farmlands lie to the south and forests are lined with the railway. Most of the community is residential. It is accessed by the old GR-9 in both sides. It is Vrachneika's closest beach.
Just outside Monodendri lies the Monastery of Saint Paraskevi. Monodendri has a school, a church, a post office and a square (plateia). The village also has a spring in the area. It also has restaurants and some forests in the east within the railway.
Arachovitika, Arahovitika or Arakhovitika () is a village located in the municipality of Rio in the northern part of the prefecture of Achaia, Greece. It is the third northernmost community in the Peloponnese. Cape Drepano is a trapezoidal cape facing the northwest and is the northernmost point in the Peloponnese and the prefecture of Achaia. The village is connected slightly northwest of the old GR-8 linking Patras and Corinth and the road to nearby Drepano to the south. The nearest interchange for the GR-8A superhighway is nearly 6 km SW via the roundabout. The Gulf of Corinth lies directly to the north and the Strait of Rio-Antirio west of the cape. It is located about 6 km NE of Rio, about 12 km NE of Patras about 6 km ENE of the Rio-Antirio Bridge and 211 km W of Athens via the new road and about 215 km W from the old highway.
Mintilogli, pro. mee-dhee-LOH-ghlee (Greek, Modern: Μιντιλόγλι), older forms: -o and -on', is a commune in the municipality of Paralia in Greece, 9 km south of and a suburb of Patras. Its nearest communities are Leyka and Ovrya in the north, Paralia and Roitika to the west and south and Thea and Kallithea in the east. Its population is around 4,000 and 5,000.
Selianitika (), is a Greek coastal village located in northern Peloponnese 187 km west of Athens and nearly 30 km east of Patras. Selianitika and its adjacent village Longos share a beautiful beach which is approximately 1.5 Km long. Both villages are among the most popular destinations of Achaia during the summer months. The village had a population of 1,147 in 2001 and it is in the municipality of Sympoliteia.
Paralia (Greek: Παραλία meaning beach hence its coastline) is a municipality and a community 6 km south of and a suburb of Patras. The municipal population is between 6,000 to 7,000. There are some factories and manufacturing plants but most of them lie to the north. The neighboring communities are Lefka and Ovrya to the north, Thea and Mintilogli in the east and Roitika in the south. The town hall is located in the west side on the former Greece Interstate 9. It is Patras' and the southern part's nearest beaches. Beach restaurants and night clubs flourish by the beaches on the entire length. The shoreline is entirely next to a former GR-9. The commune has schools. A new beltway now runs through Paralia founded east of the centre. The railway is no further than 200 m away from the shore. There are about 1,000 to 1,200 buildings throughout the community and around 2,500 in the municipality. In size, it is the smallest municipality in the prefecture of Achaia. __NOTOC__

The Kanakaris (Greek: Κανακάρης) family were an old and rich family that lived in Patras.
The descendent of the Patraean branch was Kyriazis Kanakaris, in which together with his brother Angelakis moved to Patras in the beginning of the 16th century. The Kanakaris descended from Livadia in the Viotia, a modern prefecture. His important role was the showing of his family which was secure in which took place with their family with the Notarades from Corinth. The two brothers remain childless when he was married. Later, Rodis Kanakaris from the fear of the disappearance of his family, reconciliated with his brother. They later raised Athanasioa, Rodis and Loukas. Loukas added his last name Kanakaris. One of the family members ran for the Mayor of Patras, Prime Minister and Presidents of Greece, politicians, prefectural governors, ministers, etc.
Today, the descendants of the Kanakaris-Roufos lives in the Greek capital city of Athens.

Mount Erymanthos () is a dense mountain range south of Patras in the middle of Achaia prefecture. The mountains is also called Olonos (Ωλονός). Historically it was in northwestern Arcadia and was the second tallest in the historic Arcadia, the northern portion belonged to the historic Achaea. It is the fourth tallest mountain in the Peloponnese peninsula with an elevation of 2,224 m and is named Olenos or Olonos. The summit is located by the prefectural boundary of the Ilia. In the south, the Achaia-Ilia prefectural boundary is situated and lasts for about 25 to 30 km.
Kastellokampos, also: Kastelokampos, Kastellokambos, Kastelokampos, Kastellokabos and Kastelokampos also with the o accented is a famous beach town located 7 km north of the downtown core of Patras in the Achaea prefecture in Greece. The exact population is approximately between 2,000 and 3,000 including the rural population. It is connected with the road with the road connecting the GR-8/E55 (Athens - Corinth - Patras) and Proasteio and Rio, it also connects direct with the old road via an underpass. The Charadros river flows to the south, the University of Patras is to the east along with the GR-8A/E55, the northernmost of the Patras Bypass and the older GR-8 and the GR-5 and the GR-48 northbound. Its length is 1 km from north to south and approximately 2 km from west to east, the Ionian Sea to the west and downtown Rio to the north. The OSE's SPAP rail runs 20 m east of the main road.
Krinos (Greek: Κρίνος) is a Greek village located 35 km southwest of Patras and about 60 km northeast of Pyrgos. Mataragka had a population of 326 in 2001 for the village. Mataragka is also in the municipality of Larissos since the late-1990s. Mataragka is connected with the Lappa-Mataragka and villages of the southwestern Movri and a few more roads.

Rododafni (Greek: Ροδοδάφνη), older name: Mourla is a Greek village located 30 km southeast by the old road and 35 km east by the new road from Patras, about 10 km west of Aigio, west of Corinth and north-northwest of Kalavryta. Rododafni had a population of 2,514 in 2001. Rododafni is the seat of the municipality of Sympoliteia. Rododafni is linked with the old GR-8, the new road (GR-8A, Athens - Corinth - Patras) or the superhighway is to the north and its nearest interchange is 3 km to the east.
Platanos (Greek: Πλάτανος) is a Greek village in the Achaia prefecture. Pteri located about 25 km east of Aigio, about 60 km east of Patras, east of Diakopto and west of Akrata and Corinth. Platanos is also in the municipality of Akrata and had a population of 409 in 2001. Platanos is built on a mountain slope overlooking the Gulf of Corinth to the north. Platanos is linked with the old GR-8 (Athens - Corinth - Patras) with the new road (see GR-8A, also the E65) just slightly north.
Lefkasio () is a municipality in the south-eastern part of the Achaea prefecture, Greece. Its seat of administartion is the village Kleitoria, also Klitoria (Greek: Κλειτωρία) (historically a part of Arcadia), near the site of the ancient village of Kleitor. Kleitoria is divided into Ano Kleitoria and Kato Kleitoria. Nestani since the 1980s is linked with the Kalavryta-Pagkrati Road linking with GR-33 and Kalamata as well as the Cave Lakes. The mountains with rocks, grasslands and some forests surround Kleitoria and is situated in a valley. Farmlands are mainly in valley areas.
Rachi or Rahi (), rarely Rakhi, is a village located 100 m north of the present spot of GR-1/E55 (Patras - Pyrgos). Rachi is part of the municipality of Movri. The village is part of the community of Sageika. Rachi is located 1 km east of Sageika and west of Sageika. Residential buildings are within the old highway and the road to Apostoloi. Rachi is bypassed to the south with GR-1/E55, before the early-to mid-1980s, the road ran through Rachi and the road linking north to Apostoli while the south is primarily a rural road. The intersection between the mid to late 1990s in Rachi to the east formerly existed which is now eliminated. Rachi is located 30 km SW of Patras, about 50 km S of the Rio-Antirio Bridge, about 10 km SW of Kato Achaia, about 65 km (old: 70 km) NE of Pyrgos and about 40 km (old: 45 km) from Kyllini.
Neo Vouprasi or Neo Vouprassio (), older form: Neo Vouprasion, is a small settlement located in the western part of the municipality of Larissos near the northwestern part of the Movri mountains. The village is part of the community of Metochi and is also a part of Vouprasio. The prefecture of Ilia is bounded with the Larissos river to the west and once bounded south of the highway linking Patras and Pyrgos. Neo Vouprasio is connected with GR-9/E55 (Patras - Pyrgos) at the 40th km and a small road to Old Vouprasi. Riolos is between the plain to the northwest and the Movri mountain to the southeast. The OSE railway line lies 200 m north with two railway crossings, one added in the early to mid 2000s. The panorama of the northwestern part of Achaia and the northernmost part of the prefecture of Ilia can be seen at the mountains. Potamia (Greek: Ποτάμια meaning rivers, a plural form of πόταμος potamos) is a settlement in the northern part of the municipality of Paos and the southern part of the prefecture of Achaia. It is accessed by a road connecting Patras and Tripoli with some curves, the GR-33 (at around the 100th km). It is located about 40 km NW of Tripoli, about 5 km N of Dafni, about 20 km E of Lampeia, about 50 km SW of Kalavryta and about 100 km SE of Patras
Metochi (Greek, Modern: Μετόχι, Ancient/Katharevousa: -on), older forms Metochi, Metochion, is a village in the municipality of Larissos and the western part of the prefecture of Achaia. It is the seat of the municipality of Larissos and the town hall is in Lappa. It is located about 3 km S of Kalogria, about 260 km W of Athens, about 57 km WSW of the Rio-Antirio bridge, about 45 km W of Patras and about 65 km (old: 70 km) N of Pyrgos.
Kalogria () is a place in the municipality of Larissos in the western part of the prefecture of Achaia. It is located about 55 km WSW of the Rio-Antirio bridge, 260 km W of Athens, about 4 km W of Araxos, 42 km W of Patras, 6 km N of Lappa and 64 km (old: 70 km) N of Pyrgos.
Tripotama (Greek, Modern: Τριπόταμα, Ancient/Katharevousa: -n, from τρεις tri- three and πόταμα potama river. It means three rivers in Greek), older form Tripotamon is a village in the municipality of Aroania in the southern part of the prefecture of Achaia. It is linked by GR-33, the Patras to Tripoli highway. It is located ESE of Patras, SW of Kalavryta, W of Kleitoria, NW of Tripoli, NNW of Megalopoli, NE of Olympia and E of Lampeia and Amaliada. The origin of the name derives from the three rivers, one of them includes the Erymanthus river in which it flows to the west. It also forms the communal boundary along with the prefectural boundary with Ilia to the west and Arcadia further south.
Limochori (Greek, Modern: Λιμνοχώρι, Ancient/Katharevoussa: -on, meaning, lake town), is a village located in the municipality of Movri in the prefecture of Achaea. It is part of the community of Sageika. The village lies on a narrow road linking Kalamaki and Gomosto. Distance from Kalamaki is 2 km NE, about 4 km WNW of Gomosto and GR-9 with no left turn lane. Its nearest communities and villages are Lakkopetra to the north, Kalamaki to the northeast, Gomosto to the south and Apostoli to the southwest but no road. Kato Limnochori is part of this village and had a population of 224 in 1991.

The village has a school, and a church, located next to the square (plateia). Forests are found to its west and east while the central, south and the northern part of the village are farms. Residential houses align with the narrow Kalamaki to Gomosto road. It has four sharp turns southward. It has been paved since the late 20th century. In 2002, the southern part of the road was paved. Hills are found north and northeast of Limnochori.
Agios Georgios (, Saint George) is a quarter of the municipality of Rio, Achaea, Greece. Its area is just a width of about 1 km and by about 100 m. The area is about 1.2 km². The neighboring places are Rio along with the highway to the west, Kastritsi to the northeast and is accessed to the northern part of the Panachaicus, the university and the hospital to the east and the river to the south. It is located 8 km NE of Patras. The quarter is passed by the old highway.
Demenika () is a place 5 km south of downtown in south suburban Patras that is divided into two municipalities. The northern part up to Glafkos (Glaukos) river is in the city of Patras, and the southern part up to the new beltway (superhighway) is in the municipality of Messatídi with western Saravali and northern Ovrya. It also bounds by Lefka, along with mixed residential and industrial area in the south and west. The population is around 2,000 to 2,500 in 1996. Its main streets are Akrotiriou and Dimokratias (Demokratias). Most of the urban sprawl lie 100 to 200 m within the two main streets. The community was dominated by agriculturalism with olive groves, pastures, and mixed farming used to dominate the land. As suburban housing came into the area, urban dominates rural areas.
