This is a category for Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User, which includes all participants in the adoption process who are seeking to be adopted. New adoptees are instructed to add <nowiki></nowiki> to their userpage which generates a list of new adoptees in chronological order under "2" below.
There is a sub-category for all users that have been offered adoption: so if you offer adoption to someone on this list, please change their <nowiki></nowiki> userbox to <nowiki></nowiki>.
The list below (under "2") is in chronological order of when the user asked for adoption, so if you are looking for an adoptee, please start at the top. However, if you find an adoptee who has not edited for over two months, please remove the "adoptme" template from their user page and leave a note of explanation on their user talk page (suggested message here). Adoption is "a program designed to help new and inexperienced users" - so if you find an adoptee who looks too experienced to need adoption, please discuss with them whether adoption is necessary. (for an assessment of their work to date) or (for help with a specific problem) might be more appropriate - and, if they meet the criteria, they may like to become an adopter instead!

A Wiki Gnome (or WikiGnome), is the slang term for a wiki editor who makes useful incremental edits without clamouring for attention. WikiGnomes work behind the scenes of a wiki, tying up little loose ends and making things run more smoothly, fixing things like typos, poor grammar, and broken links. Some editors who also create new articles and affect the substantive content of the articles they edit exhibit WikiGnome-like behavior as part of their work, while some editors limit themselves to WikiGnome behavior only. Placing the user box on a userpage will add a user to this category.
If you would like to leave a kind message for the WikiGnomes, please see Wikipedia:WikiGnome/Kudos.

Precisionism is a philosophy held by Wikipedians who argue that the emphasis should not be on a blanket policy of including articles, nor a blanket policy of deleting or excluding articles, because neither philosophy evaluates the content of the actual articles, which is what's relevant. They are therefore called Precisionists because they believe that articles should be precisely within policy, in terms of , , , and , and whether they should be kept, changed, or removed entirely can only be decided on a case-by-case basis. Furthermore, when such decisions are made, policy should then be precisely clarified to avoid future disputes.

Separatism (not to be confused with political separatism) is a philosophy related to inclusionism. It is the opposite of Mergism. Rather than merging everything related to one subject into a single long article, Separatists believe that while much information may can be included in a related "main article", there is nothing wrong with having a separate page for every notable subject.

In its broadest sense, exclusionism is a preference for maximizing the usefulness of an article by removing irrelevant or superfluous information. Exclusionists share some philosophical similarities with deletionists as both seek articles of encyclopedic quality. However, unlike deletionists, exclusionists favor including articles on some non-encyclopedic topics.
